UMW Student Philanthropy will host the fourth annual Philanthropy Week November 12-14, 2019. All events focus on giving back to the Mary Washington community.
Tuesday, November 12:
Trivia Tuesday. Students are invited to stop by the UMW Student Philanthropy table from 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. (in the University Center) and answer philanthropy related trivia questions. After answering a question correctly, students will have an opportunity to spin a prize wheel. Students will have the chance to win various prizes including UMW gear, Sugar Shack donut vouchers, gift cards and more.
Wednesday, November 13:
Coffee for a Cause. In honor of Philanthropy Week, Katora will be serving UMW inspired lattes. Students, staff and community members will have an opportunity to try a special latte and food offering at both Katora locations. Katora Café UMW and Katora Coffee downtown will be promoting the Eagle latte and Blue and Grey latte with a chocolate chip cookie. Half of the proceeds will go to the Fund for Mary Washington.
Thursday, November 14:
Write it Out. Students are invited from 10 a.m.- 1 p.m. to celebrate our donors by penning a thank you message on the Spirit Rock. All students are invited to stay and enjoy hot chocolate and cider while participating.
