UMW Student Philanthropy will host the second annual Philanthropy Week on November 7-10, 2017. All events focus on giving back to the Mary Washington community.
Tuesday, November 7:
Phil Was Here. Wait…who’s Phil? Look for signs posted all around campus to learn more, take pictures with Phil, and win prizes!
Wednesday, November 8:
Rock Your Cause. Show us how passionate you are about UMW, a service club on campus, a nonprofit or other great cause by wearing your favorite clothing item(s) to promote your passions. Stop by Sugar Shack wearing your gear, and get a free donut!
7-9 p.m.: Speaking of rock, Student Philanthropy and CPB are partnering to present: Wild Love and Zach Benson at the Underground. Come enjoy a fantastic performance! Entrance is free, although gifts of any amount are encouraged at the door.
Thursday, November 9:
11a.m.-2p.m.: Students are invited to Chalk the Rock and sign notes of appreciation to UMW’s donors, drink hot chocolate and cider, and collect fun giveaways.
Friday, November 10:
5-7p.m.: We’ll wrap up the celebration with COAR’s annual Head Start Gift Wrapping Party in the UC Colonnade Room.
