The University of Mary Washington recognizes our donors for their amazing dedication and generosity to our mission, students, and programs. Matching gifts from a donor’s employer are combined when determining the donor’s level of recognition.

The Washington Society recognizes benefactors who have supported the University with lifetime gifts or planned gift commitments of $100,000 and more. Names of Washington Society members are listed on a donor wall next to the Office of the President in George Washington Hall. These donors are also invited to the Celebration of Giving, Donor Appreciation Luncheon, Presidential Insights, and other special events throughout the year.
- HERITAGE SOCIETY
The Heritage Society honors those who have established and notified the University of a planned gift. There are no minimum gift levels. Learn more about gift planning options and become a member of the Heritage Society today. Heritage Society members receive the Gift Planning Connections newsletter, Gift Legacy e-news with estate planning tips and articles, and other special communications. These donors are also invited to the Celebration of Giving, Donor Appreciation Luncheon, Presidential Insights, and other special events throughout the year.
PRESIDENT’S CIRCLE
Donors to the Fund for Mary Washington with annual gifts of $2,500 or more are recognized as President’s Circle members. Current or Retired Faculty and Staff may quality with annual gifts of $1,250, graduates 11-15 years out may join with an annual gift of $1,250 or more, and graduates of the last ten years may quality with annual gifts of $500 or more. These donors are also invited to the Celebration of Giving, Presidential Insights, and other special events throughout the year. President’s Circle members are listed on a donor wall next to the Office of the President is George Washington Hall.
FAMILY LEADERSHIP CIRCLE
The Family Leadership Circle recognizes parent and guardian donors of currently enrolled students who make annual gifts of $1,000 or more to any area of the University. Members are invited to join a virtual session held each semester to hear from and engage with different members of University leadership. These donors will also be invited to an on-campus event during the following fall. Members whose current Eagle is a senior will receive an additional benefit.
FOREVER TRUE CIRCLE
The Forever True Circle recognizes loyal donors who make gifts to the University for three or more consecutive fiscal years or who have set up a recurring (monthly, quarterly, annual) gift plan. Members will receive a special gift in recognition of their dedication to Mary Washington, students, and programs.
